-Directors Notes-
Pride and Tradition Christmas Parade (All State) Required Rehearsals All Pride and Tradition Students must attend the upcoming rehearsals to prep for the BA Christmas Parade (and All State Final Round). Rehearsals are at the High School THIS Week on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3:30-5:30pm. Each of these rehearsals have been previously publicized on the the Course Syllabus, BA Bands Web Calendar and class announcements.
Pride & Tradition Schedule THIS Week Monday-3:30-5:30 -Rehearsal Wednesday- 3:30-5:30 -Rehearsal Thursday- 3:30-5:30 -Rehearsal / Take home Black Uniforms for Parade Saturday- 9:15-11:00 -Parade Performance
All State Final Round Trip Schedule to Westmoore Saturday is an all day trip to Westmoore HS for the Final Round of the Oklahoma All State Auditions. Approximate Schedule: 6:15am- Arrive at BAHS / Load buses 6:30am- Depart for Westmoore HS 8:45am- Arrive at Westmoore 9:30am- Performance Times posted in the Practice Gym 10:00am- Auditions Begin 2:30pm- Approximate Final Round Auditions begin for Flute, Clarinet, Alto Sax, Trumpet, Horn, Trombone and Percussion 2:00pm- Approximate Departure time for Bus 1 and 2 (of 4 buses) 4:00pm- Approximate Departure time for Bus 3 (of 4 buses) 7:30pm- Approximate Departure time for the final bus
NOTE: All departure times are approximate. Arrival times in Broken Arrow will be approximately 2 1/2 hours after departure - School Dress Code is enforced for the day - all meals for this trip are at the students expense. There will be a concession stand at Westmoore for any food purchases.
Broken Arrow Christmas Parade Saturday, December 7th - 9:15 am report time - meet at parking lot of Summit Academy at 1st Street and College (1 block east of Main Street)
Jazz 1 Concert Join us for the Winter Jazz Concert featuring the Jazz 1 Ensemble and the Jazz and show choirs on Tuesday (12/3) at 7:00 at the BAPAC
Pride Show Costume Portraits - Dec 11 All Pride members will have their portrait made by our partners from Jolesch Photography. These portraits will be used for items to be presented at the Pride Banquet in the Spring. Additionally, these portraits will be made available for any families that wish to purchase additional photos for their students. Portraits will be in the HS Orchestra Room on Wednesday, December 11 from 2:30-4:00pm.
Account Payments - Balance Due As we wind down the Pride season, please be sure to check CutTime for any final balances due. Student gloves, shirt and shoe charges from band trips have been applied to the accounts. All accounts must be paid in full at this time. Upcoming Wind Band Concerts Freshman Academy Band Concert - Dec 10 - 7pm - BAPAC High School Band Concert - Dec 12 - 7pm - BAPAC
High School Wind Ensemble - Chicago Trip The BAHS Wind Ensemble will travel to Chicago for the Festival of Gold in famed Orchestra Hall of the Chicago Symphony Center. The trip will take place April 4-7. Estimated cost of the trip is $1250 per student; with a payment schedule of $250 due each month from December through April. The first payment of $250 is due by December 20.

BA BANDS DISCOUNT CARDS We are still offering BA Bands Discount Cards. Cards sell for $12 each with $9 going to individual accounts. Payments must be made upfront when cards are picked up (cash or check only) Discounts from smokies, Los Mariachis, Happy Plate, Forest Ridge, Wild Meadows, Cicis, Pride Store, and many more!
BUTTER BRAIDS FUNDRAISER: All orders will be due by December 2nd by 5:30. Christi will be at the band hall from 4:30 - 5:30 on Monday to collect orders or you can put them in the payment box during the day.
QT CARD FUNDRAISER: We will also be starting QT card fundraiser sales. The cards have changed somewhat, but they still sell for $20 with $10 profit going to your student account. I will be picking cards up on Monday and can have those available at the end of SB1 Rehearsal at 3:00. We will sell these through January 3rd.
CHOCOLATE FUNDRAISER - We will have chocolate available for purchase this week on Monday evening from 5:00-6:30 in the band hall. Chocolate will be available for purchase at the Tuesday band parent meeting at 6:00pM before the meeting and again after the meeting ends. Remember, it is $60 per box paid upfront, with half of that going into your child's account. Cash/checks for payment only please. Important to remember - if you turn in money from selling chocolate, please mark it as a band payment so that it gets posted correctly; you will have already paid the profit upfront.
