PRESIDENTS

Thank you Volunteers! We couldn’t be successful without the tremendous support of parents and other supporters. This past week, we witnessed a tremendous amount of effort on the part of our incredible volunteers. Here’s a snapshot: (not complete, I’m sure there are many more!)

• Uniform washing x 2
• Uniform alterations, sorting, organizing
• Cowboy hat labeling and storage system
• Distributing jugs and uniforms to Tradition members
• Feeding Frenzy x 2
• Concessions, including a big varsity home game and BAI
• Stocking concessions for BIG events
• Show shirts and buttons pick up, sorting and distribution
• Nurses dealt with strained muscles, headaches, allergies, and at least 2 concussions (including at BAI)
• Equipment dolly repairs
• Show hats transported to and from stadium
• New software for judges set up for BAI
• Photos taken at rehearsals and performances
• New sponsors committed
• Activities and sponsor information shared
  
• Hospitality room staffed and stocked with donations
  
  AND
  
  
• Thousands of hours worked at BAI before, during and after the event.

Seniors. Senior Night will be Friday, November 1. Senior reception will be Tuesday night, November 5 following Sounds of the Stadium. Seniors need to submit one baby picture and 4 other band related photos to BABAndVP@gmail.com . Please put the student name in the file name of each picture AND in subject “Senior Pics - Student Name.” Pictures are due by October 21.

Junior & Sophomore Parents: Senior Reception Planning has begun. All junior and sophomore parents are asked to support this night as a “pay it forward” for when your student becomes a senior! To signup to volunteer or donate items CLICK HERE.

SPECIAL EVENTS

It is because of you that we are able to provide an excellent experience for our guests. I also love seeing the interaction you get with your kids and the smiles they have when they see you there working behind the scenes for them and this program that they devote so much of their dedication and hard work for the benefit of them and the program.

CONCESSIONS


Shouting a huge YE-HAW to all the concession volunteers this weekend! Thank you for all your support and hard work Friday and Saturday! Saturday you all stepped up to the plate and did amazing! Thank you for your continued volunteering in concessions.

AFTER the Florida trip….

• Friday 10/25 (Homecoming) busy night. 60-80 volunteers
• Friday 11/1 (Senior night). We ask if you have a senior student to not sign up for concessions this night. We want you to enjoy your child’s last High school football game. We would love for Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior parents to show their support for the senior parents and volunteer.
  

• Monday, October 14 - if you will be in town we are needing 4-6 people to help run concessions at BAFA 2 games 6:00/7:30. Sign up through the concession link.

BA BANDS DISCOUNT CARDS
We are still offering BA Bands Discount Cards.  Cards sell for $12 each with $9 going to individual accounts.  Payments must be made upfront when cards are picked up (cash or check only)  Discounts from smokies, Los Mariachis, Happy Plate, Forest Ridge, Wild Meadows, Cicis, Pride Store, and many more!


Popcorn Fundraiser is closed!
We will turn in orders this week.  There is a 2 week turnaround time.  Be watching facebook and your cuttime email for information on picking up your order.

CHOCOLATE FUNDRAISER - We will have chocolate available for purchase this week on Monday evening from 5:00-6:30 in the band hall.  Chocolate will be available for purchase at the Tuesday band parent meeting at 6:00pM before the meeting and again after the meeting ends.  Remember, it is $60 per box paid upfront, with half of that going into your child's account.  Cash/checks for payment only please. Important to remember - if you turn in money from selling chocolate, please mark it as a band payment so that it gets posted correctly; you will have already paid the profit upfront. AMISH JAM FUNDRAISER
Amish Bakery Fundraiser is in full swing. Check out the Broken Arrow Band Members and Supporters Facebook page on the “files” tab for current order forms and information. This fundraiser will end October 16th. Please email babandfundrasing@gmail.com with any questions.


PRIDE WORK - Earn Money For Your Band Trip Account -
If you are working the Tulsa State Fair, I have your buttons that you will need to gain entry into the “employee parking” areas as well as the Expo building itself. Please email babandwork@gmail.com to coordinate pick up. Also, we still have several spots not covered for this week. If you can help cover any night this week, please send an email or use the sign up link to register.

There are so many ways to earn money for your band trip account! Start earning money now for the 2019 Indoor Percussion and 2019 Marching Season!

Many of these opportunities go quickly. The work sign-ups are sent via email to those on the Pride Work email list. Please ask to get on the Pride Work email list by writing to babandwork@gmail.com

You can acquire the permit online and it only takes a few minutes to complete. Thanks for getting shirts so quickly! We have less than 40 left! If you want one, buy them now online! There won’t be another Pride Store until the November BABBC Parent Meeting and they might not last that long!

We are down to a handful of 2019 BAI shirts. Don’t wait if you want one! Plenty of patches and pins are left, so don’t worry about those!

We will have a pick up on Thursday in the Band Hall after the game to hand out 2019 Dog Tags and 2019 Luggage Tags. We won’t be accepting money. If you want to pick something up, buy it online before coming!

GoBA shirts will be here before Nov. 2nd! I’ll announce a pick up when they are ready.

We will have window decals, ornaments and street signs at the next parent meeting in November. Of course, we will still have coasters, embroidery, jackets, and any other preorders as well.
