• 1) Be selected by directors to participate in the Pride; and
• 2) Compete in a contest with the Pride, either by participating on field or by traveling with the band as a shadow, crew member or alternate (a shadow being defined as a student who may travel to a competition as a substitute but may not take part in an on-field performance at each event).

Thank you Volunteers!
The organization couldn’t be successful without the tremendous support of parents and other supporters. Reminder: Each parent is expected to work in concessions for at least one home football game. If you haven’t signed up yet, please do so today! It’s fun, and you can spend time getting to know other parents in the organization.

Thanks to all that have helped with uniforms, concessions, and operations. We are about to get into the meat of our schedule and a lot of things happening. Please remember we have several things we need to handle as volunteers and parents:

• Accounts needed to be up to date for your kids to get bus assignments ect...
• Volunteers for BAI and concessions we have several home games in October Sign up now for both.
• Parent forms need to be completed
• Need to have information in CUTTIME up to date that is our main communication mechanism.

Junior & Sophomore Parents: Senior Reception Planning has begun. All junior and sophomore parents are asked to support this night as a “pay it forward” for when your student becomes a senior. A planning meeting will be held Saturday evening, September 28th at 7 p.m. in the Band Room and all Sophomore and Junior parents are encouraged to attend to plan this event.

Seniors. Senior Night will be Friday, November 1. Senior reception will be Tuesday night, November 5 following Sounds of the Stadium. Seniors need to submit one baby picture and 4 other band related photos to BABAndVP@gmail.com . Please put the student name in the file name of each picture AND in subject “Senior Pics - Student Name.” Pictures are due by October 21.

BAI Hospitality Room. Donations are needed for the BAI volunteer hospitality room. A sign-up will be out this week to sign-up to help with items.

Hospitality help needed. We are in need of a few more volunteers to be on our hospitality committee for the year. If you are interested and want more information, email babandvp@gmail.com

The Broken Arrow Invitationals is less than a month away on October 5th, 2019.  Initial signup has been good but we still have lots of spots to fill.  Timers, ushers, band guides, ticket takers, and many more.  We have a spot for you!  Please sign up so we can start filling in spots based on your availability and so we provide and event with true BA Pride excellence.

CONCESSIONS

We need you! Friday October 4th is the next home football game. We currently have 24 people signed up and we need 26 more volunteers to make concessions a success. Click the link below and select your football game.

BAI is October 5th. Concessions needs to fill 30 shifts, we have 4 shifts filled at this time. You can choose 1st shift, 2nd shift, or all day. Use the link below.

BA BANDS DISCOUNT CARDS
We are still offering BA Bands Discount Cards.  Cards sell for $12 each with $9 going to individual accounts.  Payments must be made upfront when cards are picked up (cash or check only)  Discounts from smokies, Los Mariachis, Happy Plate, Forest Ridge, Wild Meadows, Cicis, Pride Store, and many more!


Popcorn Fundraiser is closed!
We will turn in orders this week.  There is a 2 week turnaround time.  Be watching facebook and your cuttime email for information on picking up your order.

CHOCOLATE FUNDRAISER - We will have chocolate available for purchase this week on Monday evening from 5:00-6:30 in the band hall.  Chocolate will be available for purchase at the Tuesday band parent meeting at 6:00pM before the meeting and again after the meeting ends.  Remember, it is $60 per box paid upfront, with half of that going into your child's account.  Cash/checks for payment only please. Important to remember - if you turn in money from selling chocolate, please mark it as a band payment so that it gets posted correctly; you will have already paid the profit upfront. PRIDE WORK - Earn Money For Your Band Trip Account -
If you are working the Tulsa State Fair, I have your buttons that you will need to gain entry into the “employee parking” areas as well as the Expo building itself. Please plan to come pick them up and sign for them in the band hall Monday night from 5:00-6:30. An email will be going out by Monday with further instruction regarding attire, parking, shifts, etc.

There are so many ways to earn money for your band trip account! Start earning money now for the 2019 Indoor Percussion and 2019 Marching Season!

Many of these opportunities go quickly. The work sign-ups are sent via email to those on the Pride Work email list. Please ask to get on the Pride Work email list by writing to babandwork@gmail.com

You can acquire the permit online and it only takes a few minutes to complete. The only preorders we still have are decals (window, jug and koozie), embroidery patches, coasters, ornaments and street signs. Decals, embroidery and coasters are available all year. Ornaments and streets signs are due at the October BABBC Parent Meeting, currently on the calendar as October 7th. The goal is to have show items available at that meeting so they can be taken to Orlando that weekend.
