Drums of Summer - DCI Show in Broken Arrow The 2016 DCI Show hosted in Broken Arrow will be on Wednesday, July 20 at BA's Memorial Stadium. This year’s event features: Blue Knights, Blue Stars, The Cadets, Colts, Crossmen, and many others. WOW!! What an amazing line up. Tickets are on sale now at DrumsOfSummer.com. This offer applies to all current 2016 members and can't be traded, upgraded or refunded from a previous purchase. CAR WASH Attending the Annual Car Wash on June 18th is REQUIRED and all attendance issues should be communicated to attendance@BrokenArrowPride.com. (Unforseen conflicts such as vacation or church camp will be excused). At this time, we are asking PARENTS who are interested in watching and helping the kids to contact Cori Aschkenas @ BABandfundraising@gmail.com. Please note, each student should bring sun block, water to drink, and either A TOWEL, DISH SOAP, OR A SPONGE!
School Owned Instrument Check Out All students that need to check out a school owned instrument may pick them up on Tuesday, June 7 at the HS Band Office from 4:30-6:00pm. In order to pick up an instrument a student AND parent signature are REQUIRED. Also, the Fall Semester User fee of $35 must be paid in order to take your instrument for the summer. REMINDER: You MUST have a parent signature to check out your instrument.
Midwest Clinic - Percussion Ensemble TRIP UPDATE- Mark your Calendars!
The Broken Arrow HS Percussion Ensemble will be performing at The Midwest International Band and Orchestra Clinic on Friday, December 16th from 1:30-2:30 PM.
Tentatively, we are planning to leave Broken Arrow on Wednesday, December 14th and return on Saturday, December 17th; more details will be released when available.

Pasadena Tournament of Roses Trip Information The Rose Parade (not the Rose BOWL Parade) predates the football game as will be celebrating its 128th trip down Colorado Boulevard. The Rose Parade boasts a live audience of 1 MILLION spectator and a worldwide television audience of over 350 MILLION viewers in over 40 countries.

Pride Account Payments / Charms / Group Fundraising / Payment Schedule Until notified in an upcoming eNews, all payments to 2016 Pride New-Member Student Accounts must be made by delivering to the BAHS Band Office OR by mailing to BAHS. New Pride Member Charms accounts are still under construction to be set up for each member. We will make an eNews notification once the Charms accounts are set up for the 2016 Pride season. The next payment of $250 is due. The June payment is $300. Band Summer Office hours are Monday through Thursday from 9:00-4:00pm. NOTE: The additional Color Guard fee is currently undetermined and will announced asap (previous year’s Color Guard fee is typically around $300)

Attendance Communication - Attendance@BrokenArrowPride.com All members must communicate all Pride absences by emailing attendance@BrokenArrowPride.com Please remember that ALL rehearsal and performances are mandatory beginning July 25. All mini camp and rehearsal sessions prior to July 25 will allow absences based on vacation or attendance to a ‘camp’ (music camp, church camp, etc), however, ALL absences must be communicated in advance.
Family & Friends Tours to California from GMT (Grueninger Music Tours) In conjunction with Grueninger Music Tours, the BA Bands are pleased to offer 4 different “Family & Friends Tours†to the Pasadena Tournament of Roses in Southern California. The packages through GMT range from “Fully Escorted†(including airfare) to “Independentâ€. Refer to the attached literature and registration form for additional info. PLEASE NOTE: The BA Bands is not organizing this event or accepting any funds for the “Family & Friends Tours†and all questions, payments and other info should be communicated directly to the GMT website or offices.

Pride Physicals Due by July 22 All Pride members must have a new physical on file for the 2016 season. You may choose the physician of your choice BUT MUST SUBMIT THIS ATTACHED 2 PAGE OSSAA FORM. The BA Bands intend to host a physical session with one of our sponsors onsite at BAHS in the month of June or July; however, ALL physical forms must be submitted to the Mrs. Good in the band office no later than July 22.

Band Office Hours: The band office will be closed for Memorial Day, May 30th. Mrs. Good will be away from the office from May 31st through June17th. You may still mail payments to the high school. Address them to BA Bands, Attn: Lisa Good, 1901 E. Albany, Broken Arrow, OK 74012.
Charms/Pay Pal Parents, if you make PayPal payments they must go through the Charms site or they may not post correctly to your student’s account. If you’ve made a PayPal payment and you don’t see it posted to your student’s account in a few days please contact Mrs. Good.
FUNCTIONS V.E.S.T. (Visual Effects Support Team) is looking for new team members and will be using the Remind app to send out notifications when help is needed with uniform and flag sewing, cutting, washing and inventory. If you would like to receive these, please text “@vest20†to 81010.
Mentor/Mentee Sign-up. Our mentor program is a way for us to connect parents that have been serving in the BA band parent association with those parents that are new to our organization. We will connect parents of students in the same section to help new parents navigate this wonderful world of Pride!!! If you are a new parent that wishes to be assigned a mentor OR are a veteran parent that would be willing to serve as a mentor, please sign-up Here!!

PRIDE DISCOUNT CARDS--The due date for discount cards is Thursday, June 30. All money and cards must be turned back in by June 30. This is just over two weeks. Please make every effort to sell the cards you have checked out. CHOCOLATE FOR SALE--The response to the chocolate bars and almonds has been overwhelming this past week. We are out of almonds and almost out of chocolate bars. There is a limited amount of chocolate bars available still, and we are looking into placing another order. If you would like any of the chocolate bars or want to be placed on a waiting list for almonds, please email BABandWFC@gmail.com. Chocolate must be paid for when you pick it up.

CHAMPIONSHIP SHIRTS 2015 Pride members who have not picked up their free Championship T-shirt need to pick it up at the June band parent meeting. This is the last day we will be hold these shirts for Pride Members. If you are not sure if you have picked up your shirt, we will have a list at the meeting. The list is currently packed away in the closet with the t-shirts so we will not know who has or who has not picked up shirts until the night of the meeting.
The Pride Store will be open again at the June band parent meeting.
ORDER FORMS FOR 2016 - CLICK HERE! Order forms for 2016 will be available online on the Pride Web-site under Resources and and the Pride Store tab. We will not be accepting any orders requested through email or Facebook. We must have your form and payment turned in before the deadline.
ROSE PARADE FUNDRAISING Movie Night was a big success! A HUGE thank you to all of the volunteers and the members of the community who showed up to support the event. Our next movie night on the field will be July 9th. We’ll be announcing the movie choice in the next eNews.
JULY 17th: Inaugural Golf Tournament WE NEED YOUR HELP SECURING TEAMS TO PLAY IN THE TOURNAMENT!!! I’M BEGGING HERE FOLKS, PLEASE CONTACT YOUR FRIENDS, CO-WORKERS, ETC AND HELP US SIGN UP TEAMS. The event will be held at the Battlecreek Golf Club. CLICK HERE for information on the event and registration form. We ask you to talk to your friends, neighbors, family members, and co-workers and invite them to participate in the tournament. We are putting together a list of companies that can help us by providing funds if pride families use their services. For example, Protection 1 Security Solutions (through LaShona McWhirt) can donate $50 to your individual account if you switch or start new security service with them. If you are part of a company that offers this type of fundraising, please let us know. We are hoping to have a list of such opportunities for the next band parent meeting.
We are looking for restaurants that would like to help feed the Pride in the fall. We feed the Pride before every Friday football game and several Saturdays during the season. If you have a contact at a local restaurant, let us know!
