A Word from Your Presidents...
MEET AND GREET this Thursday, August 20th at 7:00pm. Please join us this Thursday for a time to get to know each other, band parent to band parent. We will gather in the courtyard in front of the “big gym†on the senior high campus at 7:00 pm. You will have an opportunity to connect with other parents from your child’s section. This is also a good time for mentors to meet their “mentee,†if they have not already done so. Please reach out to any parents you know who may not yet subscribe to eNews to make sure everyone knows about this event. Following our Meet and Greet, we can all go over to the stadium to enjoy the last 45 minutes of rehearsal.
And speaking of watching rehearsal…. The directors have asked us - repeatedly now - not to take photos or video of rehearsals until further notice. They make this request to protect the product our kids are working so hard to put on the field. Thank you to all who have honored this request. Please know that until we receive the green light to video or take photos again, the directors will be asking anyone who is unwilling to honor their request to leave the stadium immediately. Please help us pass this word along to anyone who may not currently subscribe to eNews. Watching rehearsal is a privilege and that privilege can be revoked. If you have any questions about this matter, please feel free to email us at babpaprez@gmail.com.

Sponsor Blitz this week
Charlie’s Chicken, here we come!
Time for our first sponsor blitz! This week, if you go out to eat, go to Charlie’s Chicken! Be sure and ask for the manager and tell them THANK YOU for helping support the Pride of Broken Arrow! This is not a fundraiser, it is just a concentrated way to show our sponsors that we appreciate them! Charlie’s will be feeding the Pride before one of the football games this fall. Let’s tell them thank you!
Sponsors Needed
Speaking of feeding the Pride, we are still looking for a few more restaurants who can help us with food. If you have contacts at a restaurant, please let us know!
We are also looking for other companies to partner with us through sponsorships.
Volunteer Grants
Did you know that some companies pay volunteer grants for their employees who volunteer hours for organizations. Is your company one of those? Do you work for Walmart, DirecTV, IBM or State Farm? Those are 4 companies of the many who offer volunteer grants. Check with your HR department!
