2015 Pride Horn Line Auditions
This week will be very busy with the audition process to complete the selection of the 2015 Pride of Broken Arrow.  Check the Pride's website for more information at www.BrokenArrowPride.com.

Student of the Week

Emily Goodwin is a senior and a member of the Wind Ensemble, Jazz I, and was named Pride Member of the Year. Emily was recently accepted to Oral Roberts University where she will attend in the fall as a Psychology major with a minor in Worship Leadership. In addition to her studies, Emily was accepted into and will participate in the Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, and University Chorale. Because of her outstanding character, scholarship, and musical talent Emily was awarded almost $200,000 in scholarships from ORU! Congratulations to Emily and we wish her all the best in the future! We are very proud of you!


BAHS Graduation
Congratulations to our 2015 Graduates as you complete your High School careers! This is an exciting time to reflect on the great memories and look forward to their exciting futures! All Sophomore & Juniors are required to perform at the 2015 BAHS Graduation Ceremony on Tuesday, May 19 at the Downtown Tulsa BOK Center. Sophomores & Juniors must provide their transportation and be at the BOK Center by 5:45pm (Report time is subject to change and parking fees may apply). The uniform for this event is 'dress up clothes'. This event typically ends at around 9:45pm. There is also a required rehearsal on Monday, May 18 after school from 3:00-5:00 for ALL Sophomore & Junior band members.


2014 Pride Championship Rings
Due to popular demand, we will once again offer Pride Championship Rings to commemorate their Class AAAA National Championship, the BOA St. Louis Super Regional Championship and the OBA Marching Championship. Details for ordering, design and pricing will be shared on eNews soon.


2015 Pride BOA Schedule
The Pride will once again travel to unique locations in the USA to two different BOA (Bands of America) competitions for the 2015 season (pending school board approval). Mark your calendars as the Pride will travel to the St. Louis Super Regional during Fall Break, and will return to Indianapolis' Lucas Oil Stadium 2014 Grand National Championships.

JAZZ NOTES
congratulations to all E-Jazz and jazz 1 members on a great perfromance at the Rooster Days Festival on Friday night!  The rain held off until Jazz 1 concluded their set, so both groups were able to perform all the music prepared for the gig - Congrats!

Auditions for the 2015-16 jazz 1 Ensemble will be after school on Friday, May 22nd; audition information and music is available for all interested students in the BAHS Band Room (VPA 140).

Additional Patch segments have arrived! Parents or members may pick up their additional patch segments in the Music Office during school hours (8:00-4:00).

Our next band parent meeting will be on Thursday, May 21.

Thank you to everyone who assisted with all of the uniform check-ins and to those who brought and helped serve cookies at the concerts! We cannot do this without all of you!

EARN MONEY FOR YOUR BAND TRIP ACCOUNT! Work in the home plate concession stand at the Tulsa Drillers baseball games. Earn $35 for evening and weekend games and $45 for day games. Special Events
Drums of Summer -

DCI Drum Corps competition will be hosted at BAHS on Tuesday, July 21st.  Please help us promote this event by liking our drumsofsummer.com Facebook page and getting the word out.  Tickets are now on sale at DCI.org.

We'll need lots of volunteers to work the show so please sign up now!  Email us at baspecialevents@gmail.com and put DCI 2015 in the subject line so we can add you to the schedule. 

Ticket sales will start at 3pm, gates open at 6pm, and the show starts at 7pm.


Marketing Development
We are looking for businesses interested in partnering with BA Bands.  Corporate Partnerships are a great way to invest in the Broken Arrow Band Program.  We have awesome sponsorship packages available with advertising opportunities.  All monies collected through our Partnership Program benefit the General Fund.  This fund helps purchase equipment, instruments, uniforms, etc., which benefits all of our kiddos!
