Upcoming Concerts and Contests
Freshman Academy Concert May 4, Monday, 7:00pm at the BAPAC
BAHS Band Concert May 5, Tuesday, 7:00pm at the BAPAC


HS Band Concert Tuesday Night!
The final high school band concert of the school year will be this Tuesday at the BA PAC starting at 7:00pm. This concert will feature outstanding performances by each of the High School Wind Bands, Student Achievement Awards, and a Scholarship Presentation. All HS band members must report to the BA PAC by 6:30pm, and the Wind Ensemble Concert Uniforms will be checked in at the conclusion of the concert event. Wind Ensemble students are to bring a change of clothes.


Rooster Day Parade & Uniform Check In
The Rooster Day Parade is this Saturday (May 9) with a 9:15 report time at the Old North Intermediate HS Auditorium Parking Lot. The Parade begins at 10:00am and the Pride & Tradition will wear full uniform. Uniform & Instrument check in follows the parade from 11:30 - 1:00 at BAHS.


BAHS Graduation
Congratulations to our 2015 Graduates as you complete your High School careers! This is an exciting time to reflect on the great memories and look forward to their exciting futures! All Sophomore & Juniors are required to perform at the 2015 BAHS Graduation Ceremony on Tuesday, May 19 at the Downtown Tulsa BOK Center. Sophomores & Juniors must provide their transportation and be at the BOK Center by 5:45pm (Report time is subject to change and parking fees may apply). The uniform for this event is 'dress up clothes'. This event typically ends at around 9:45pm.


2015 Pride Information

- Pride Leadership Leadership applications are available. See Mr. Wiencken at the HS if you have not picked yours up yet.

2014 Pride Championship Rings
Due to popular demand, we will once again offer Pride Championship Rings to commemorate their Class AAAA National Championship, the BOA St. Louis Super Regional Championship and the OBA Marching Championship. Details for ordering, design and pricing will be shared on eNews soon.


2015 Pride BOA Schedule
The Pride will once again travel to unique locations in the USA to two different BOA (Bands of America) competitions for the 2015 season (pending school board approval). Mark your calendars as the Pride will travel to the St. Louis Super Regional during Fall Break, and will return to Indianapolis' Lucas Oil Stadium 2014 Grand National Championships.

Additional Patch segments have arrived! Parents or members may pick up their additional patch segments in the Music Office during school hours (8:00-4:00).

Our next band parent meeting will be on Thursday, May 21.


Student of the Week

Jon Sawyer is a senior and a member of the Wind Ensemble, Pride, Jazz I, and Indoor Percussion. He has also been a member of the All-State Band, Symphony Orchestra, Pit Orchestra, and Tulsa Youth Symphony. Jon was recently accepted as a music major to Oklahoma City University earning a significant amount in scholarship money! Congratulations to Jon for all of his many accomplishments! He has made us proud and he will be missed. Please join us this Tuesday, May 5th at the BAPAC where Jon can be heard as a featured performer with the HS Wind Ensemble.

FUNCTIONS
Cookies needed! We have two high school concerts coming up May 4th and 5th and will need cookies and servers for BOTH nights!! When you decide to bring cookies and/or serve, please send an email to bafunctions@gmail.com and let us know!

We also need volunteers to help check in Pride and Tradition uniforms immediately following the Rooster Day Parade. Again, if you are willing to help us out, let us know at bauniform@gmail.com.

Drums of Summer -

DCI Drum Corps competition will be hosted at BAHS on Tuesday, July 21st.  Please help us promote this event by liking our drumsofsummer.com Facebook page and getting the word out.  Tickets are now on sale at DCI.org.

We'll need lots of volunteers to work the show so please sign up now!  Email us at baspecialevents@gmail.com and put DCI 2015 in the subject line so we can add you to the schedule. 

Ticket sales will start at 3pm, gates open at 6pm, and the show starts at 7pm.


Marketing Development
We are looking for businesses interested in partnering with BA Bands.  Corporate Partnerships are a great way to invest in the Broken Arrow Band Program.  We have awesome sponsorship packages available with advertising opportunities.  All monies collected through our Partnership Program benefit the General Fund.  This fund helps purchase equipment, instruments, uniforms, etc., which benefits all of our kiddos!
