2011 'Destiny Leaves You No Choice' Pride Reunion - October 14 What a great reunion we had with the members of the 2011 Destiny Leaves You No Choice Pride! Thank you for your continued support of the Broken Arrow Bands. It was terrific to reconnect with so many of our alumni and learn of all the incredible things that each of you have accomplished in your lives. Go BA Pride!
Bands of America Super Regional THIS WEEK! This is an exciting time in the Pride’s preparations! I know that the Pride members have been looking forward to this week for a long time to perform in one of the nation's most premier acoustical environments for a dome stadium. It is always amazing to see the number of BA parents, alumni and fans that will make their way to the Dome at America’s Center to see and hear some of the finest bands in the nation. There will be MANY bands from our area and state competing at the BOA Super Regional and I know that all Broken Arrow supporters will show their generosity and enthusiasm toward our band friends from Oklahoma!
Oklahoma Bands’ Prelim Performance times in St. Louis*
- Union HS, OK - Friday 7:15pm
- Mustang HS, OK - Saturday10:00am
- Bixby HS, OK - Saturday 11:45pm
- Broken Arrow HS, OK - Saturday 3:15pm

St. Louis trip Itinerary information Travel Info and documents are included the (Members and Parents ONLY) CHARMS eNews Edition for the trip to St. Louis. Some itinerary notes:
- No rehearsal after school of Friday
- All members are to report to the HS (with their luggage) no later than 5:00pm
- Non-drivers will place their luggage in the Orchestra Room where it will be locked up for the evening. Students that drive, may keep their luggage in their vehicles until time to load the charter buses
- AT 5:00pm, all Pride members will eat dinner in the Cafe and change into the Uniform for this week’s game.
- 5:40pm Pride is blocked up by Student Union to march to the stadium and warm up for the PRE GAME performance
- 6:40pm - Pride Perform their “Edge of Eternity†show before the game begins
- 7:00pm - Kick off & Middle School band night with the Pride
- After 2nd Quarter - Pride Dismissed to load equipment and luggage on Charter Buses
- 8:50pm - RIS (Rear In Seat) in assigned seats on the Charter Buses and Ready for Departure
- Broken Arrow’s preliminary performance time is Saturday at 3:15pm
- The finals competition begins at 7:30pm (should we advance)
- The Pride will depart St. Louis on Sunday morning and arrive in Broken Arrow at approximately 6:00pm
- The band Hotel in St. Louis is the Hyatt Regency - At the Arch
BOA St Louis Super Regional LIVE Webcast - BOX5TV.com LIVE STREAM on BOX5 Media. This year, all Bands of America Championships, including this one, will be Live Streamed. Music for All recently announced its new partnership BOX5 Media Events (no longer FloMarching), a new site dedicated to covering the world of competitive marching bands and the marching arts. If you have band parents, alumni, administrators, and supporters who cannot come to the event, the live stream offers a way they can watch your and all of the performances, for this and all Bands of America Championships. 2 Competitions NEXT Week (OSSAA & OBA) The Broken Arrow Pride will participate in 2 competitions next week. The OSSAA Regional Marching Contest will be hosted at NSU in Tahlequah and feature bands in class 5A & 6A. The OSSAA Contest is a contest with a different judging system and all bands perform 1 time (no prelims or finals). Broken Arrow performs last at 3:15pm and admission is free to this event. Additionally, the OBA Marching Championship will be hosted at Broken Arrow's Memorial Stadium on Saturday, October 30. Broken Arrow performs in the preliminary contest at 10:45pm. A detailed itinerary for next week's performance events will appear in next week’s eNews.
2022 Indoor Percussion Information There will be an informational meeting for all students and parents interested in 2022 Broken Arrow Indoor Percussion on Tuesday, October 26th from 7:00-7:30 PM in the Band Hall. All members of the Pride are eligible for membership in the Drumline, Front Ensemble and the Visual Ensemble. Information about auditions, rehearsals, performances, and tentative trip schedule as well as additional info for the upcoming Indoor Percussion Season will be shared.
Charms For
those new to the Pride, Charms is a student management software used by
the bands to manage student accounts, uniforms, inventory,
communication, etc., in all areas of the band program. All Pride
members for 2021 have been pre-registered in Charms. To log in, visit www.CharmsOffice.com,
use the parent log in tab and the school code “brokenarrowbandâ€. The
initial log in password is your student’s ID number. If you have
forgotten your password, please email Lisa Good at lsgood@baschools.org to have it reset. Please also update the profile information for you and your students. Students should have their own email address. See THIS informative sheet for new Charms users.
Specific 2021 Pride Information - Charms As a reminder to all current 2021 Pride members and parents, all specific communications regarding Pride will be communicated via Charms. Make sure your account is set up and your parent info is added to you child’s account. All info from the recent booster club meeting is being sent to you via Charms.

The season has started! There is a lot happening behind the scenes, and even more will be coming soon. Make sure you find your place to plug in and be an active part of this wonderful organization. You'll be glad you did!
As we start ramping up for the new season, there will be a lot of important information to communicate. Make sure you have your Charms account set up. Please check with Mrs. Good if you have any issues. Just a reminder, Charms is our primary means of communication. Please rely on this source rather than various social media groups for the most accurate information.

Pictures received after that date will not be included in the senior slide show.

You must save the flyer or image to your device then repost to your own page. The BA Bands FB page is an open page so you should be able to reshare from it.

- Only a few more chances to check ou and check in sold paper raffle certificates. This week, we plan to have a time on THURSDAY, October 21, 2021 from 7:00-9:00pm in the band hallway, but depending on prep for leaving to go to Super Regionals, this could change! (time and location may change depending on prep being done for Super Regionals). Online Sales go all the way to the 31st.
- Planning for the holidays: Board and Brush of Tulsa is offering a chance to GIVE BACK to the Broken Arrow Bands with a fundraiser where 20% of all proceeds come back to the BA Bands. The workshop will be on Sunday, November 28, 2021 2-5pm. They specialize in helping you create beautiful projects on wood in a variety of themes from which you get to choose. Spend a couple hours with friends and family who also love our bands the weekend after Thanksgiving to make great keepsakes. RESTAURANT DINE OUTS:
- Join us Tuesday, October 26 from 5pm-8pm at Whataburger on Kenosha for Dine Out. That Whataburger has always been a very strong supporter of the BA Bands and Pride so come show your love to our bands and to them for supporting us. The flyer has been posted on FB to share or text family and friends. ANd be sure you tell them a huge THANK YOU!

CONCESSIONS
CALLING ALL PRIDE PARENTS AND ALUMNI - October 22 Home Football Game This Friday, October 22, is a home football game. The Pride is leaving for St. Louis that evening so we’re sending up the Bat Signal for all parents that are not traveling with the band and local alumni to work concessions that night. We’ll wish the Pride a Bon Voyage! and fund their trip at the same time. If you haven’t squeezed cheese in a while or if you’ve never salted a pretzel, come find out what you’ve been missing!

Believe it or not, cooler weather is right around the corner. Make sure your Pride student has warm clothes for cooler rehearsal days and long bus rides. White Pride hoodies are available from the Store.
