The Broken Arrow Invitational is THIS Week!
Join us for the Broken Arrow Marching Band Invitational at Tiger Field on October 2. This yearâ€™s BAI is a much smaller event and will feature a non-completive event. During the day, bands will receive a 90 minute clinic rehearsal from adjudicators. All Clinics are open to the public and are free during the day. Beginning at 7:30pm, there will be a ticketed exhibition celebration with performances from the attending bands, encore concerts, and feedback from the BAI adjudicators and clinicians. The Pride of Broken Arrow will perform in exhibition following the finals competition at 9:00pm. We hope to see you next Saturday! There are still several open positions to fill for the BAI - - Please help the BA Bands and volunteer!

Performances begin and 7:30pm and will conclude with the Pride of Broken Arrow beginning their performance at 9:00pm. High School Band Concert NEXT Week 10/5
The first band concert of the season will be on Tuesday, October 5 at 7:00pm in the BAPAC. This concert will feature students from the HS Wind Ensemble and the HS Symphonic Band 1 in small chambers ensembles around the BAPAC and performances by the HS SB1 and the HS Wind Ensemble. This will be a fun concert and we will also have some very special guest conductors and performers.

2011 "Destiny Leaves You No Choice" Pride Reunion - October 14
Itâ€™s time to celebrate an amazing milestone in the history of the Pride of Broken Arrow! At halftime of the Homecoming Football game on Thursday, October 14th we will honor the members of the DESTINY 2011 Grand National Champion Band! Itâ€™s hard to believe that 10 years have passed since Broken Arrow won its Second Grand National Championship! All members of 2011 Destiny Pride are cordially invited to join us in Broken Arrow on October 14th. Events will include: halftime recognition of the 10 year anniversary of the 2011 Grand National Championship, Join the current Pride in the Band Stand for the 2nd half of the football game, and a post game reception with a viewing of the 2011 "Destiny Leaves You No Choice" performance from Grand National Finals! â€¦

All DESTINY members that are able to attend will meet at the North End Zone at the beginning of halftime and be recognized before the 2021 Pride performs at halftime. During the second half of the game we encourage you to come to the band stand and visit with each other and say hi to the band. After the game, there will be a reception in the new Field House Lobby with refreshments followed by a viewing of the 2011 Grand National Finals Performance of DESTINY LEAVES YOU NO CHOICE! This should be a GREAT night!

Next BA Band Booster Club Meeting September 14
Our next Booster Club meeting will be on Tuesday, September 14 at BAHS at 7:00pm.

Pride and Concert Band Instrument User Fees AND Band Class Fees due September 17
All Pride members that play a school owned instrument must submit their $35 Instrument User Fee no later than this Friday.

Charms
For those new to the Pride, Charms is a student management software used by the bands to manage student accounts, uniforms, inventory, communication, etc., in all areas of the band program. All Pride members for 2021 have been pre-registered in Charms. To log in, visit www.CharmsOffice.com, use the parent log in tab and the school code â€œbrokenarrowbandâ€. The initial log in password is your studentâ€™s ID number. If you have forgotten your password, please email Lisa Good at lsgood@baschools.org to have it reset. Please also update the profile information for you and your students. Students should have their own email address. See THIS informative sheet for new Charms users.

Specific 2021 Pride Information - Charms
As a reminder to all current 2021 Pride members and parents, all specific communications regarding Pride will be communicated via Charms. Make sure your account is set up and your parent info is added to you childâ€™s account. All info from the recent booster club meeting is being sent to you via Charms.

The season has started! There is a lot happening behind the scenes, and even more will be coming soon. Make sure you find your place to plug in and be an active part of this wonderful organization. You'll be glad you did!

As we start ramping up for the new season, there will be a lot of important information to communicate. Make sure you have your Charms account set up. Please check with Mrs. Good if you have any issues. Just a reminder, Charms is our primary means of communication. Please rely on this source rather than various social media groups for the most accurate information.

Uniforms need to be returned by Tuesday! We have several alterations to make before Saturday. Plan to pick up uniforms after the game Friday and after BAI Saturday. As a reminder, we ask that parents please wait in the hallway while students are changing and returning uniforms so it does not get too congested in the uniform closet.

We need junior and senior parent volunteers for the Senior reception. Planning will start very soon. If you are interested in helping or have questions please email babandvp@gmail.com. This is a fun and easy way to volunteer and get to know some new parents.

Button picture make-ups will be before the football game this Friday. If you were one of the few students who was sick or out of town for picture day this is your opportunity to get a button picture. After you are in uniform go directly to the band hall for pictures.

This week the Pride is being fed by Los Cabos, Charlie's Chicken, and The Pride Grill. Please visit our feeding sponsors and tell the manager thank you!

SHARING: Continue to share events on your Facebook and other social media accounts. The Family & Friends FB page is a closed, private page so it does not let you share outside the group. You must save the flyer or image to your device then repost to your own page. The BA Bands FB page is an open page so you should be able to reshare from it.

We will have a check out/check in of paper certificates this week on Thursday, October 30 7:00-9:00pm in the band hallway.
We sent out a SignUpGenius Link to help you have a chance to sell your 10 certificates to the public at 3 of the 4 home games. We will send that link out again and add a slot for a single slot at the BAI evening ticketed event.
Planning for the holidays: Board and Brush of Tulsa is offering a chance to GIVE BACK to the Broken Arrow Bands with a fundraiser where 20% of all proceeds come back to the BA Bands. The workshop will be on Sunday, November 28, 2021 2-5pm. They specialize in helping you create beautiful projects on wood in a variety of themes from which you get to choose. Spend a couple hours with friends and family who also love our bands the weekend after Thanksgiving to make great keepsakes. CONCESSIONS

The home football season is here! This is a BIG week for the concession stand. The concession stand is one of the ways we raise funds for all Pride members. We have multiple events this week (Sept 27 - Oct 4) and weâ€™ll need all hands on deck! Sign up links are shown below and have been emailed from the Charms Office. The concession stand will close during Pride performances. Please sign up for as many spots as you are available.

2021 GoBA, Show Shirt, and Luggage tag orders are now closed. The Store will have a limited number of GoBA and Show Shirts available for sale if you missed the order deadline. Final delivery dates are not yet available, so please stay tuned to Charms for pick-up information.

Order deadlines for 2021 Ornament, Street Signs, and Coasters have been extended to October 1. No additional items will be ordered for these popular items, so please place your order prior to the deadline.

Believe it or not, cooler weather is right around the corner. Make sure your Pride student has warm clothes for cooler rehearsal days and long bus rides. White Pride hoodies are available from the Store. Check out the newly released items in the Online Store. Student requested street clothes - Pride of Broken Arrow sweatshirts / Pride of Broken Arrow Color Guard sweatshirt / Pride of Broken Arrow Jogger Bottoms / Fanny Packs - have recently been added to the Store line-up.
