Shout out to tuba, flute, mellophone, and drum major parents for helping secure a meal for this season. These sections will get a free pass to the front of the line for that meal. If you have an idea for a meal sponsor let me know this week. This week’s feed the pride sponsor is Chick-fil-a. Please thank them by giving them business and telling the GM Amanda thank you for feeding the pride! This is your last chance to communicate any food allergies to me. I need to know by Monday in order to make special meal arrangements.
Extra thank you to all of our volunteers helping with uniforms. It took a small army to get uniforms fitted, altered, ironed, washed, and all items sorted and ready for pick-up this past Saturday. We appreciate you making us the best dressed band around. If you signed up to wash uniforms please make sure those have been picked up, washed, and returned to school by Tuesday.
SPONSORSHIPS & GROUP FUNDRAISING babandsponsors@gmail.com
SPONSORSHIPS: We are looking for corporate sponsors for the 2021 season. If you know of a business or person who might like to sponsor BA Bands and the Pride, please let us know at the email above. We have many different levels and ways to be a Pride sponsor. We have forms we will send to you or to the company to begin the process!
SUGGESTIONS: If you have ideas or suggestions please send an email to the address above. We are always looking for new and fun ways to support BA Bands and The Pride. Thank you to those who have already sent us leads; we will continue to follow up on those.
SHARING: Continue to share events on your Facebook and other social media accounts. The Family & Friends FB page is a closed, private page so it does not let you share outside the group. You must save the flyer or image to your device then repost to your own page. The BA Bands FB page is an open page so you should be able to reshare from it.
ONGOING FUNDRAISING:
- Sign Gypsies benefits both individual and group accounts. See details on Facebook or contact the email above for details. Be sure you tell them thank you for the awesome signs they put up for the Pride Awards Banquet this year.
- Do you order from Amazon? Did you know you can go through what is called Amazon Smile and pick the Broken Arrow Band Booster Club, Inc. as the non-profit who receives a small percent of every eligible purchase you make. Every little bit counts. If you need help with it, email us at the address above.
CURRENT FUNDRAISING:
- Latest Car Raffle Info: We will NOT have any check out/check in of paper certificates this week because we will be at the Pride Rooster Days booth tent from Thursday to Sunday. Jim Norton will have a car there for us that is representative of the one being given away. Stop by if you can; we will be right outside the Community Center entrance doors!
- We are actually half way through our Car Raffle sales window this next week. Don’t forget this is mandatory. We will be sending a signup for those wanting to offer their certificates at the 4 home football games after we wrap up the Rooster Days booth.
- NEW! NEW! NEW! It may feel like a ways off, but the number of available seats are limited so don’t wait to sign up! Board and Brush of Tulsa is offering a chance to GIVE BACK to the Broken Arrow Bands with a fundraiser where 20% of all proceeds come back to the BA Bands. The workshop will be on Sunday, November 28, 2021 2-5pm. They specialize in helping you create beautiful projects on wood in a variety of themes from which you get to choose. Spend a couple hours with friends and family who also love our bands the weekend after Thanksgiving to make great keepsakes. A shareable flyer will be posted on FB and sent via Charms, but you may register and invite others to register by going here: CLICK HERE. Access code is BA.
RESTAURANT DINE OUTS:
- THIS WEEK! Share our FB flyer for our August dine out on Tuesday, August 31 5-8pm at Smitty’s Garage. They have really loved having Pride families visit them so we are doing one more with them this season. 10% of all sales in that time window will benefit the BA Bands and Pride of Broken Arrow. Dine in or carry out.
UPCOMING FUNDRAISING:
- Window clings/signs for area business or any supporter are still on the agenda for this fall. Stay tuned for that opportunity.
